The drive between Florence and Rome is via Italy's main highway, the autostrada A1 and takes about 3 hours.
The itinerary nears Orvieto and Cortona while Siena, Perugia and Assisi are further "inland". If you wish to visit any of these destinations, we can arrange for a transfer with stops.
