About Pisa Airport and using a private Limo |
Pisa Airport - Florence Limo TransferOur Pisa Airport limousine transfer service (available for all schedules 7days a week) guarantees a quick and seamless door-to-door connection with any Florence address (and with most destinations in Tuscany, and beyond).
Our airport transfer service includes a FREE Meet & Greet Service at arrivals in Pisa. We will be there waiting (after you have disembarked, gathered your luggage and gone through customs). On your way out, we will deliver you from the door of your hotel/apartment to the door of the departures terminal in Pisa on time for your outgoing flight. |
Pisa Airport is the largest airport in Tuscany. In fact many passengers travelling to Florence will actually fly into Pisa (PSA) Airport, rather than Florence (FLR) Airport. Tickets for flights in and out of Pisa airport are often easier to find and cheaper compared to flying directly into Florence airport.
While public transportation between Pisa Airport and Florence is available, and relatively cheap, it is far from perfect. Since flying directly into Florence would still requiring some form of private transportation to get you to your hotel (or apartment), it makes sense to hire a limo to take you directly from Pisa Airport to the door to your accommodation in Florence. Many of those who are going to Florence will therefore fly into Pisa and then simply take a limo ride to Florence (the ride takes just over 1hr).
Optional Additional Stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa
A popular optional extra for this particular transfer is to stop for 1 hour at the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. For a relatively small extra fee we can drive you right up to the Leaning Tower and wait while you explore the Piazza dei Miracoli with the piece of mind that your luggage is safe and we are ready to pick you up and drop you off in Florence or at the Airport (depending on whether you choose to stop on the way into Florence or on your way out as you return to Pisa Airport).
The buildings adjacent to the Leaning Tower, (Baptistery, Cathedral, Monumental Cemetery), while not as famous, are also amazing and perhaps even surpass the tower in terms of artistic and historical relevance. So why not take advantage and visit a couple of these landmarks which are literally right next to the Tower? Tickets for these are cheap and once purchased online (here from 21 days before the date), don't require any queuing. Climbing the tower on the other hand will require careful planning as the tickets are assigned for certain time slots during the day.
