Food and Wine
Italy has been a unified nation-state for just over 150 years. Each Italian town, valley and region has developed a particular cultural specificity which can still be appreciated today not only in the spoken dialects but also in the local wines and cuisine.
Indeed food and wine are fields in which Italy clearly excels. And you can find this kind of excellence in both high-end restaurants and budget ones, because the art of traditionally preparing food and the making of wine are traits of Italian popular culture, passed on from mother to daughter and from father to son. Obviously becoming a professional chef in a famous restaurant requires much more than passed-on family traditions.
We are glad to promote this kind of excellence and advise our customers on which restaurants and wineries, in our opinion, especially deserve a visit.
